Sam Asbury
Attorney

Maria Jose Asbury
Interpreter
Maria Jose is a certified and experienced interpreter and translator. She grew up in Paraguay and immigrated to the USA in 2019 with work experience as a teacher and a travel agent in addition to her work interpreting and translating. Maria Jose earned a Bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude in economics from Catholic University of Asuncion.

Brian Gomez
Legal Assistant

Brian was born and raised in the Walla Walla Valley. He graduated from Walla Walla University with a B.A. in Business Administration. He works with Sam Asbury on a variety of cases: family based immigration, U Visas, DACA, and removal defense. Brian is also a licensed insurance broker and is fluent in English and Spanish.



Alex Bryzhak
Legal Assistant
Alex was born and grew up in Ukraine. He attended university in Ukraine before immigrating to the USA. Alex speaks Ukrainian, Russian, and Spanish fluently and he also speaks Romanian, German, Polish, French, and Italian. Alex lived and worked in Buenos Aires for almost three years. More recently, for more than 11 years, Alex was an accredited representative with Lutheran Community Services NW in Portland assisting newly-arrived refugees and then immigration clients in general.

Vianey Conway
Paralegal
Vianey is an independant paralegal who was born in Mexico but grew up in Oregon. She works with Sam Asbury on a variety of immigration case types: family, U Visas, DACA, and removal defense. Vianey is a Certified Paralegal with a B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice from PSU. She is also a Licensed Real Estate Broker. Vianey has been in the legal field since 2009 and has worked with Sam Asbury since 2013. Vianey is fluent in English and Spanish.
Grace Kahura-Malang
Legal Assistant
Grace is a professional athlete and aspiring immigration law specialist with broad experience in the U.S. immigration process. Born in Kenya, she immigrated to the United States in 2013 and has volunteered to assist athletes from all backgrounds, friends, and family with their visa applications and documentation. She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration from Front Range Community College in Colorado. Grace's immigration journey inspires her dedication to helping others achieve legal, stability, mobility, and opportunities.
